MIXED is a new fine-art documentary project where each shoot starts with a conversation between the model and I about what it’s like growing up mixed race. We discuss what it’s like growing up in two (or more) worlds/cultures, but never being fully part of any of them. They fit in everywhere but nowhere simultaneously, and for that reason the resulting photos are slightly abstract but with hidden truths attached to each.
