On the hot and sunny days in the coastal areas in Accra, young boys along the shores strip off their clothes to enjoy the sweet burn of the sun and the breeze of the sea. They also create fun activities like swimming and fishing in smaller ponds by the shores.
About the Artist
Reginald Kofi Boateng is a young visual artist, born in Accra Ghana who uses an iPhone to capture and edit beautiful stories around him. His work reflects on creating an imaginary world using vibrant colors, contrasting them with the melanin skin of his subjects, which gives a feeling of nostalgia to his digital artwork.
His work has been featured on OSENGWA and Prazzle Magazine. He has also participated in shows at the Calabar Gallery NYC, The Cowrie Culture and many more.
