On July 3rd, 2025, adidas opened its doors to the largest store on the African continent — the adidas Lekki Flagship store. Curated by Seju Alero Mike of OSENGWA, the space was envisioned as more than a retail destination: it is a cultural landmark where Lagos sees itself reflected within a global brand. Through art, design, and storytelling, the flagship weaves the city’s creativity, resilience, and imagination into every corner, offering a space shaped by and for the community it serves.
Our work with adidas spanned four interconnected projects:
By: Seun Odebunmi & Martins Asenime The Ejagham Bench is a study in form, heritage, and intentional design.
Art Direction & Curation
We transformed the flagship store into a cultural landmark by curating over 20 original works across sculpture, painting, photography, mural, and design.
At the adidas-sponsored LATC Awards Dinner, OSENGWA curated an interactive space that brought the flagship journey to life through a large-scale visual storytelling wall.
The experience offered guests a photographic walkthrough of the Lekki Flagship Store’s creation — from site to sketch, concept to construction, and blueprint to reality. Embedded throughout were reflections and quotes from the architects, artists, strategists, and collaborators who helped shape the project.
Framed by a curatorial note from Seju Alero Mike, the storytelling wall invited guests to pause, reflect, and celebrate the bold vision that had transformed into a cultural landmark on the edge of the Lagos Lagoon. It was less an exhibition and more a living narrative — a space where ambition, collaboration, and legacy were given visual form.
Curated Gifts for adidas Leadership
As an extension of our curatorial vision, OSENGWA designed a collection of bespoke gifts for adidas’ global leadership team — each conceived as a cultural artifact that carries Lagos’ story forward.
