ELECTRICITY ALLOWANCE

Power (ECG) Allowance:

As noted in our listing description and in our Airbnb House Manual, we provide an electricity allowance for each stay at a surplus of what might be required for a short-term booking. This allowance, a total of GHS 200, is loaded to the ECG account when our guests check-in. This electricity allotment typically lasts 2-3 days for the average Ghanaian household. Guests staying with us for longer-term rentals are responsible for purchasing additional energy credits beyond this initial allowance. This policy helps us keep our booking fees low and competitive, while giving guests control over how much energy they use during their stay.

We encourage all our guests to turn off ACs and other appliances (especially water heaters) when not in use. Please note that guests are solely responsible for topping up power once the initial allowance has been used up.

Let’s save the planet (and money!) together with the responsible use of energy!

When in need of additional ECG credits, please reach out to either Linda or Ike who will assist you with adding funds to the ECG account. Please ask for a receipt with each credit top up.

Power Outages: If ever there is a rare dumsor (power cut), please call ECG Makola office on +233302611611. The customer service is great and they can usually address your needs in 15 mins or less. You can describe the location as “number 2, 6th street. Next to Supabets in Osu”. If they need more help, you can say “behind KFC”.

PROPERTY DAMAGE FEES

Walls: We intend to keep walls as bright as possible. Kindly store suitcases away from walls where staining could occur. As granny always said, please “hands off the walls”.

Property Damage: The booking fee does not cover any potential damage to valuable items within the space. Guests will be responsible for any damage to the property and/or lost keys that happen during their stay and will be charged a fee commiserate to the cost to repair/replace the items.

Please report any faults you notice after checking-in immediately to our property manager so they may be attended to.

OUR ARTWORK EXHIBITION

We hope you've been enjoying the inspiring artwork on display during your stay at OSENGWA Stays!

These pieces were carefully curated to enhance your experience and perhaps even spark your own creativity.  We invite you to explore our full collection online HERE. There you'll find more information about the artists and each piece, allowing you to revisit the beauty you encountered here long after your stay.

However, if you've found yourself drawn to a particular work and would like to bring it home with you, please access our online store directly  HERE

We look forward to sharing the art with you!

THE NEIGHBORHOOD - GOOD EATS

Though there are many great food options, the most delicious introduction to good eats in Ghana is the fruit! You're in luck, we have a family next door that sells fresh fruit, fruit juices and bottled water. There are also lovely restaurants within walking distance on every street near the house. Chez Clarisse is a favorite for West African foods, and Chocolate Sarayi is perfect for desserts.
